Honda HRR216 Blade Drive Problem

Get a squelling noise when mower under heavy load, such as tall and/or wet grass. Use to only hear this if I pushed the yellow blade engage lever too quickly. Any feedback for this problem, could be something with blade engage clutch?

Sounds like the clutch is slipping and in need of adjustment.

Look up under the control handle that engages the blade on the handlebar, Where the cable mounts to the bracket there should be two nuts holding it in place.

Loosen the nut furthest away from the engine and tighten the one closest to the engine, This will move the outer cable housing out of the bracket thus tightening the inner cable and clutch assembly.

Good Luck

Thanks, I will give that a try. Wonder why something like this is not addressed in the mower manual.
