mower size help

I have a 1/2 acre lot and am thinking of buying a 42" riding mower ..but am wondering if its a little overkill. I'm thinking the time savings of having 42" is gonna be negated by not being able to get into all the nooks and crannies of my yard. Maybe I should just get a good quality 21" push mower. Anyone have an opinion? Or experience with this size lot?

You made me tired just reading your post !

I have 1 1/2 acres but only mow a half acre I cleared in the center, I mow with a commercial 54" ZTR....GIT-R-DONE is my motto.

I believe a unit such as this would fit your bill, Still give you a faster cut time with a smaller deck for tight places over pushing a 21 incher for a half acre and they are well built units.
