Husqvarna rancher 55 chain bolt replacement

Howdy everyone,
I was too tough while tightening the nuts when tensioning the chain and broke one of the bolts. Are these hard to replace? any thoughts before I start into this project?
Thanks
John

Going from memory here, I believe the bolt pushes out into the gas tank, and a new one must be installed through the gas tank and pulled out with the nut from the outside. It can be tricky to feed it through the hole from the gas tank opening. tie fish line to the end, feed it through the hole, then pull the bolt through. Look in the tank to see if this is how yours is assembled.

Thansk Cheese!
After digging deep on google I found a husky service manual where they said the same thing! (only I think it was through the oil tank). Thanks for your quick response. I will post when I find a bolt and give it a go.

Yep, oil tank... I remember. The bolts should be on a shelf at any Husqvarna dealer.

Got it fixed. We live in a small town so the Husky guy didn't have the correct replacement. He did have on with a square head that I ground to fit. I will pop online and order one up. A really easy fix.
