Lawn Boy trouble
I have a Lawn Boy model 8073 self propelled lawn mower. Last week I put new gas/oil mix into it. I started it and it worked fine for a awhile. Now whenever I start it, thick blue smoke comes out of the exhaust. In addition, when I put the throttle to full, the engine does not run at full. The engine tends to fluctuate. If I could have someone tell me what is wrong and what I need to do, that would be much appreciated.

Sounds like the choke is on.
If the oil you used was a good grade of two stroke oil mixed properly, I doubt if that has anything to do with it.

Old gas can cause this, a dirty air filter and a partially plugged exhaust could also result in low power and excessive smoke.
What type of oil are you using and what is the mix ratio??
