Refurbing a WeedEater BC2400 trimmer

Hi All,

I'm trying to refurb a WeedEater BC2400 trimmer. To see if that was worth doing, my first step was to see if it was giving a good healthy spark at the plug. The spark I'm getting is pretty small and faint ... at least when I compare it to the spark I'm used to getting from my car or lawn mower.
So my first question is ... Is this normal? I've never worked on an engine as small as this before but my guess is that this should be a very strong spark. What normally goes bad on these guys? Am I looking at a new spark plug or a new module or both?

Generally, if it is sparking, it is good. Engines rarely have weak spark problems with modern solid state ignitions.
