autochoke on B&S engine

hi i am working on a craftsman mower 944.365990 with a B&S engine 125K05-0448-E1. i pulled the engine cover off not realizing that the air vane choke arm was caught on it and i think it popped over the top of the heated coil arm on the muffler. but i am not sure. i think it should be on the outer side of this heated coil arm as it seems the choke it fully open when it is hot
is this correct?, i hope i explained this properly.
thanks
steve

Yes, you would want the choke fully open when hot. I'm not sure what you're describing, but I haven't looked at the choke system on many of those, so it's not something I can picture in my head right off. Here is a IPL of the engine, although I don't know that it will help with your issue much though.
