Hit stump

Hit stump with my Craftsman Push Rear Bag Lawn Mower Item #07138901000 m#38901 and it shut-off right away and bent blade. I replaced the blade but doesn't sound as good. Doesn't seem to have the rpm's as it did but its ok, it doesn't have any vibration in the handle when running.

Also it has a high pitch squeel to it, I think it always had that.

If it tries to jerk the rope out of your hand sometimes when you are starting it, you have a partially sheared flywheel key, from hitting the stump, which puts the ignition timing off and would create your simptoms. Have a good one. Geo
