Tecumseh will only start if you use the primer

Well here's another tecumseh challenge. Tecumseh 4 HP wont start unless you prime it. I only have the Sears model number at this point in time -- 143-97403. It doesnt matter if the engine is hot or cold -- you have to prime it or it wont start. Carb has been apart and cleaned several times.

I think the bowl gasket is very prone to leak air on that carb, also make sure the bowl nut is very clean, the hole at the top near the threads is usually a problem area, I use the wire from a twist tie. Have a good one. Geo
