Kohler 20HP Horizontal - Power loss, oil leak

The 20 HP Kohler on my Grasshopper mower runs well and cuts well for about 30 minutes. After that, it loses power and leaks oil. The oil leak appears to be around the clutch area. It seems to be much hotter than usual.

I'll always attempt a DIY before calling the pros and WAITING on their schedule to clear. I need to mow now!

Any recommendations?

Horizontal or verticle shaft?? Single or twin?? Flathead or OHV?? Give the pros some engine numbers & they'll get you fixed up.. Till than, check the oil... Has it been changed reciently?? Does it smell of gas??? Check the cooling system to see if it packed with grass under the shroud or really packed wiith old grease... Have you checked the plug or airfilter yet??? Just a couple ideas that may help you out.. Roger

Okay, I guess 20HP horizontal Kohler wasn't enough. I can add that it has twin OVH's.

Could a simple oil & filter change help me?
