Quantum? Intek? Is it a lawnmower, generator, or ? A model number for the entire device might yield something. If my lawn equipment shop were open today, I'd call them for you.

What is the sticker attached to?

I tried that long family number, attached to Briggs, on a search, and come up empty. I thought the internet had everything on it?

You'll have to remove the plastic junk covering the engine and look on the engine shroud where the numbers are stamped, usually over the muffler area.

its a yard machines self propelled lawnmower. the sticker is attached to the gas tank which has the engine info on it. i removed the tank and did not see a real model number. its not stamped on the blower housing. i don't see a model number for the mower itself either. the engine is a briggs 6.5 OHV engine.

I think the numbers on the sticker you first found are only emission control numbers...I've seen numbers like this on Tecumseh but I don't know if they are a licence number,,an exemption number or what?? Maybe some one can tell us.... Roger

Sneaky? It's not like they're trying to pull one over on you. I mean, they do want to be able to sell parts. If you have a manual, they tell you themselves where to find it. Nothing sneaky about it.
