Cool replacing briggs and stratton governor lever

Help, does anyone know how to replace the governor lever which broke off without pulling crank. It will not slide past and the bushing is pressed in, so what's a guy to do? Thanks

It hits the crankshaft? If so, then it seems your options are limited. I don't recall the governor shaft being too close to the crank on many engines, but we don't know what engine you have so I can't look at one to see.
