Need to disassemble Ryobi 725r weed eater cutting head assembly

I have everything apart down to a pesky item called a "retainer" that holds the bushing assembly housing on to the entire assembly. Is it possible to get that little round retainer off and how do you do it?

Many thanks!

Is this at the powerhead or down by the spool?

Desperation created an answer

I took a drill with a very small bit and just drilled the retainer. I was able to get a needlenose grab on it and tore it off...It worked. There was a ton of greenery wrapped up inside these. Even after removing it and oiling the heck out of it, it is still a bit sluggish. Now I have to find a source for the widdle retainer. Thanks for the response to my inquiry.
