kawaski

i took the coil off my 14 hp kawi lawn mower. does it have to go back in the same place. i wont start.

Yes and it has to be properly gapped, too. Post engine numbers and we can give you the gap.

Just wondering, Why did you take the coil off ?

It does have to go back in the same place.....

Pull the coil away from the flywheel and just snug the two screws.

Rotate the flywheel magnet in front of the coil and insert any business card (most are with-in .010" air gap spec) between the coil and magnet. Loosen the two screws and let the magnet pull the coil to the flywheel, Hold a slight pressure on the coil pushing it against the flywheel and tighten the screws. Rotate the flywheel to remove the business card, Then re-install the cover and go mow.

how do i put it back where it was. the motor was turned with it off

wont start and its flooding, but has spark?
