Honda GX240 Must be choked to start, even warm starts
Okay, in the scheme of things, not a big problem. But I inadvertently ran my pressure washer out of gas, Apparently that concentrated, what ever sediment in the tank enough to jack the carb. I refueled it, would not start. So, I took carb down cleaned everything out. The machine runs great now. On cold start, choke it, and it starts in one pull, as it did berfore. However, the issue I am having is that I now must choke the machine to warm start also. It starts in 1/2 to 1 pull. As soon as it is started, warm or cold, I take the choke off and it runs perfectly. I for the life of me cannot figure out why it is doing it, I tore it down onec more to insure gaskets turned the right way, recleaned jets, made sure every nook and cranny was clean, same results.
What am I missing?

Did you remove the jet from the top of the carb (black plastic one)? I think that carb has what I'm thinking of, just under the idle screw. If it runs right and you are convinced the carb is clean, I wouldn't worry about it.

I am ALMOST absolutely positive it is all clean. :-)
I did clean the vent, jet or whatever you mention. I checked valve clearanc, etc. I happened to notice some water at the bottom of the tank, I could not see it in the sunlight, but could see the layer in there with a flashlight. I dumped the tank, and drained the bowl, forgot sediment bowl, however. I filled with clean treated gas, I have nto run it very long, yet, but it has restarted a couple times without the choke. I am hoping that after running for a bit longer, it will clear all the way up.
Thanks for the reply.
