tecumseh model OHH60 problem
i am not a small engine mech. in the least. my tecumseh would not start so i poured a small amount of gas in the sparkplug hole and it fired. figured it had something to do with the carb. i pulled the bowl off to look at it and cleaned everything througout. it started fine afterwards. the problem is is that there is gas leaking out the top of the bowl where the carb and bowl meet. do i just replace the gasket or is there a larger problem b/c i broke the seal of the bowl below the carb? plese help, need to till the garden asap

It's just leaking at the gasket. First shut off the gas to the carb and pull the bowl back off. Check the gasket to see if it tore when you removed it to clean the carb. If it's not damaged, put a light coat of grease on it and reistall it, checking for fit. Tighten the nut down until you can just move the bowl a little by hand and rotate the bowl slightly back and forth. Then position it as it originally sat and tighten the nut.
It that doesn't seal it you will probably need a new gasket.
