Up and down idle

I have a Toro CCR 2000, it used to be a great little snowblower, It started last winter everytime on 3rd to 4th pull after priming everytime, but now it races up and down, i took of the carb and cleaned jet,air mixture screw, everything, put in new plug. no improvement. one thing i noticed is i can have the idle screw in all the way and makes no difference, makes me think its the needle and seat, they look fine, also blew every passage in carb out with compressed air. any advice THANKS

Sounds like you may have an air leak. Possibiliies: Carb to intake, intake to engine, crankshaft oil seals, head gasket, base gasket.
