Is this a snow blower or a mower? I guess by 2 stage you mean 2-Cycle.

There are two 2-Cycle Tecumseh manuals at the link below. Download them and see if you can identify the engine you have.

yes this is definatly a 4 cycle engine there are exhust and intake valves it is a snow blower i messed up the name (how it was in order) it is a jacobsen imperial 26 heavy duty 2 stage. it has i think 4 speeds on it i really need to know how the governer and the carb link up it is an older one so i really dont have any chance of finding any linkage parts i am gonna need to make my own

The description you just gave is for the snowblower (2 stage). Do you know anymore about the engine other than it's Tecumseh - maybe the HP or anything along those lines. Maybe if you could post a picture of it also, it would help.

Have you gone to the Tecumseh site and downloaded the manuals? They have a download that covers a number of different engines.

The engine info should be stamped in the metal engine shroud just above the sparkplug, if the engine has been painted it may be covered up. Have a good one. Geo

I merged this thread with your first one. Please do not start new threads when the subject matter remains the same.

I provided you a link to Tecumseh manuals in an earlier post. Then I understood your engine to be a 2-cycle.

Understanding your engine is a 4-Cycle go to the link below and download the manual. I am confident this will be the manual for your engine. Look through it to identify your engine.

I don't think there is a engine manual any more specific than the one Airman provided. It is the Tecumseh engine manual. Have a good one. Geo
