honda ex650 not putting out the right watts
I have the ex650 and I am really unsure what to do to fix the thing- it seems it is putting out some whacked out power... I tried to use a reader and it says anywhere from 10 to like 1000 when it should be around 120...
I had it running with some things plugged in and it just burns up anything plugged into it. literally it smoked a CD player. than a light.
I tested my tester with my other genrator at it was right on 120ish but the ex650 just gives me a 1 like 1000 but have no idea how that can be right. what do i do to fix it- where can i take and what should i expect?
please help

Call around at the electric motor shops and see if they work on generators. I don't know what is wrong with yours, could be a regulator problem, maybe a diode problem, something shorted, don't know.
