Craftmans Chain Saw replace fuel filter and line

I have a Craftmans chain saw 358.352180. The fuel filter is attached to a a line inside the fuel tank. The line came off inside the tank. I can't see how I can disassemble the tank to re attach the line/ filter. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Steve

The easiest thing to do is replace the fuel line. While you are at it replace the filter also. A local small engine shop should have the filter and fuel line on hand.

Pull the old fuel line out of the gas tank through hole in the tank. New line needs to be long and cut on the carburetor side to required length after installation. Feed line from outside tank through the hole until you have enough line in the tank to grasp with pliers. Using hand pressure to feed line from outside tank pull other end with pliers until you have enough outside the tank to install the filter. After filter is installed, pull line to position filter near fuel cap hole a bottom of tank. Determine amount of line needed to connect to carburetor and cut line as required.
