New fuel line 1998 Toro 824 Snow blower

I just completed a complete rebuild on this snow blower' carburetor and figured I might as well replace the fuel line from the gas tank while I have it apart. I just went to pull the old fuel line and it feels stuck or at least a very tight fit. I decided to leave well enough alone until I had a chance to post here to see if there is a recommended method to use for replacing the fuel line. As it stands now I don't want to pull the old line and end up with two pieces at an inaccessible location. So I would appreciate any advice from those who are familiar with process.

The engine is the Tecumseh 8hp model HMSK80 155386 V.

Thanks.

They can be a tight fit going thru the blower case. I just cut the line near the blower housing and pull it thru. I replace with the thin wall hose. (available at most small engine shops). Now to install the new hose, I use my 12" long phillips screw driver. I push the screwdriver shaft thru the hose, then slowly ease the hose thru the blower housing. Works everytime!!
