Hard starting chainsaw

My Husky 55 rancher wouldn't run so I put in a carb kit and a new plug. It runs top notch now, it seems like the mixtures are spot on, but its extremly hard to start. Maybe 10 pulls sometimes. The choke is functioning. Any ideas?

Hi,

I've had issues like this and have solved them (after replacing as you have done) by checking the fuel pick-up hoses which tend to dry out or develop cracks so they suck air instead of fuel. So, check and replace the pick-up hoses. I found the tiny tubing/hose in a hobby store. I used to build and fly model planes so this came to mind very quickly.
Good Luck!
