C944-52448 Sears snowblower transmission?

C944-52448 Sears snowblower transmission?

I have this old snowblower (1974), runs like a top but will not stay in gear unless held/forced , cannot get transmission or transmission parts from sears, would like some ideas and also could you pass along some exploded view diagram page sites

I tried looking it up on the Sears site. Nothing. Then I thought the "C" might mean Canada. So I went to Sears.ca ( Sears canada). Canada does not have a parts direct like the US site.
Sorry. I found nothing.

hello i had a similar issue with an older sears unit and i found that the drive belt wasnt on both pulleys so sometimes it would drive and other times it wouldnt and like u i had to hold it into place, try that and hopefully it will fix ur issue, good luck
