Murray 425600x8 mower won't start

Hi all, I am hoping someone will help me out since it started snowing here in NH and my murray riding lawnmower is also my snowblower via snowblower attachment. It started 2 weeks ago after raking leaves and putting the rider in the garage. I tried to start it back up, got a quick turn over then just a click. So now the mower doesn't start, battery is fully charged, but just getting the click when trying to start her up. I have cleaned the grounds for the starter solenoid, battery and ignition. Any idea's?

Did you test the battery or just charge it. Batteries can show fully charged and still be defective. Take the battery to a local auto parts store that tests for free.

The heavy electrical cables from the battery can corrode internally and will not carry full load. One way to eliminate this problem is to use jumper cables in place of the battery cables.

Battery is new, so I went ahead and bought a new starter solenoid this afternoon from local mower parts store and voila, she has been brought back to life!!

Hello, I've been working on an old Homelite 320 snowblower with a Walbro HDC carb on it. I rebuilt the carb and have got it running well a few times. However, when I try to start it after it sits for a day or two, the crankcase floods and fuel ends up running out though the muffler until the tank is dry. Thinking the carb was the problem, I rebuilt the metering system and reset the lever a few times, lower and lower. I've pressure tested it and it appears to be OK. After testing it with the carb connected but not mounted, the fuel appears to be leaking not through the carb barrel itself but through the air purge lines. To make sure I'm clear, I'm attaching a picture. Line A goes from the primer bulb to the fuel pump cover. Line B goes from the pump cover then connected to the crankcase at the bottom of the engine, fuel passes through the engine to a twin connection next to it which flows to a t-connection at the bottom of the fuel line C (which is the lowest point in the connections). What it seems like is happening is fuel is passing into the carburetor through C, out through B, filling the crankcase, which then drains through the exhaust manifold onto the ground.
