Sears Tractor Snow Blower Auger, Help!

I have a Sears Lawn Tractor, and every year I put the snow blower attachment on the front. I just hooked it all up last night, and the auger goes on and off just fine when the snow blower is raised, but when I lower the blower, the auger starts to turn. It looks like the gold colored arm that controls the auger now hits something when I lower the big black lever on the right side to lower the blower. This never happened before. What is wrong?

Thanks.

I looked at the manual a bit more carefully, and now I see that I had the rod under the tractor upside down. I reversed it and now I am good to go.

In technical terms that's called a "murphy". Beer 4U2

Measure it with a micrometer; cut it with an ax.
