Leaf Blower, 60 PSI, Gas coming out air filter

I was given a non running Pulan pro leaf blower. It has a wierd grinding or chaffing sound, at best 60 psi, and the air filter gets half soaked with gas. Does this mean I have a bad valve?

60 PSI on a compression test??? 2 or 4 stroke?? is the grinding sound from the blower or the engine??? If it's a 2 stroke I think I'd pull the muffler off & have a look @ the piston & cylinder... Maybe post a Model & serial #,, but if that IS a compression reading you posted,, it sounds like problems,, (piston,, Cylinder, Etc) Sorry,,,, Roger

Right. Pull the muffler and look, but I bet it's toast.

Actually, it looks like itd be much easier to pull the jug off. No problems in doing that, right?

What is the brand, model number, etc. of the blower.

If it is a low end unit, ryobi, homelite, poulan I would not waste my money.

I took off the top, and the cylinder and piston ring were in great shape. Anywhere else I can be losing compression? I can barley get over 60PSI. This leaf blower looks brand new. I doubt its the head gasket. The grinding did sound like the blower. Thanks for the reccomendation.
