John Deere L120
Hi I have a John Deere L120 tractor.
The engine stops when I take off choke.
I am told that the carb needs adjusting.
Where is it located. and what can I
adjust. There is a screw with a spring
Where is it to be all the way in or all
the way out. or how many turns from
all the way in.
I have been told you can't
adjust it but i need to take apart and clean it.

Do I understand the engine will not run unless the choke is engaged? Does the engine RPM hunt and surge without the choke?
If the answer was yes, most likely the carburetor needs cleaning.
Post the engine brand, model number and other engine numbers if you need further help.
