Tecumseh HMSK100 Control Bracket

I have an MTD 28" snowthrower with a Tecumseh HMSK100 engine.
I had to replace the coil which required removal of several shrouds and connections.
The control bracket assembly that attaches to the blower housing and connects to the governor link has a spring that I believe puts tension on a cam that makes contact with an adjustment screw.
There is not enough tension to cause this mechanism to work properly and if I try to wind it 360 degrees, there is not enough slack in the spring to allow this.
I don't know if something (another spring perhaps) is missing.I have looked at the parts diagram and see a speed control spring but cannot see where it might be located and how it attaches.
Does anyone have experience with this particular motor?
Thanks in advance

That spring is not replaceable. You need to buy a new assembly. They cost about $18. U.S.

Thanks for the quick reply. I purchased a brand new control bracket with the spring in it and it arrived today. Is this the only spring that puts tension on the spinning cam? If so, it is not working (or I have installed incorrectly - or something else is amiss)
