Craftsman 88691, 26" -- Won't start

Just picked it up and assembled it today. It's gassed up, throttled on "rabbit," all the way choked, primed, but won't start.

Gas is 45 days old or so, from the last time I mowed the lawn.

It has an electric starter and it makes a ton of noise when engaged, but the motor will not turn over.

I checked the spark plug connection and it seems fine.

Any suggestions? I did get the 3-year warranty with it.

Being brand new, drain the gas and use fresh gas. If that doesn't work, call the Sears. If you do ANYTHING to it, you void your warranty. Please post the full model number. Usualy xxx.xxxxx

The full model is 247.88691.

Also, how can I drain the fuel?
