Tecumseh 8hp Barely Throwing any Snow...
I have a tecumseh 8hp snow blower. I started it up a couple of weeks ago (up until then it had been working fine).
When i began to use it the august and impeller both were spinning however the machine was not able to throw snow out of the chute.
This morning, I decided to try it again. It was BARELY throwing snow out (its not throwing the snow out with as much force as it used to) after I did the following: put the gearbox in reverse and run the auger for a few minutes, then put it in drive on the highest speed.
Anyone have any idea of what might be going on, and what I should look for?
Thanks!!!!

Please post the make & model number of the snowblower. Tecumseh is the engine.
First, check the shear pins and make sure they are there and not broken. If they are there, then your belt is worn causing it to slip and needs replacing.
Remove the belt cover & check what 38racing sugested.

Okay.. I thought if the shear pins broke only the augur would stop working? I'm probably wrong so I'll double check the pins.
The augurs and impeller are both rev'ing so I am guessing it's the belt. From what it seems like the snow blower is actually made by Tecumseh, i can't find any other branding on it aside from "TECUMSEH".

Look on the back panel between the tires. That is where the ID number usually is. Many times, tho, it has been painted over.

As Indypower said, many times the augers will rotate, even with broken or missing shear pins due to friction between the auger and the shaft inside the auger. Might even spin with some snow in it, but as slippage increases, the speed of rotation decreases, and the snow coming out the chute gets slower and slower.
