snow blower problem

I have a 10 hp, 32 inch cut sears snow blower. It is about ten years old, with maybe fifty hours use at most. When I first got it, it would throw snow a good twenty thirty feet. Now I am lucky to get five or ten feet out of it. Is this because the drive belt needs to be changed, or is it something else.

Chances are your auger pulley belt needs to be changed or adjusted. Those V belts will stretch over time and have to be adjusted from time to time. They really affect the performance of the blower.

No big deal, it's all in the manual.
