John Deere L120 No Fuel past pump

My JD L120 is starving for fuel. I took the fuel line off the carb side of the fuel pump, cranked it and no fuel is coming out. What would you suggest....New fuel pump? Drain tank for debris? Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks,
Mike B

What engine is on it? Is fuel getting to the fuel pump from the tank?

Cheese,
It's the 22hp Briggs Intek V-Twin. I don't know if the fuel is getting to the fuel pump from the tank. I only know that fuel is not coming out of the fuel pump toward the carb.

I talked to the dealer and they suggested I blow air back toward the tank. He was not sure if there was a filter in the tank...I'm going to try that tonight. Does that sound right?
