Did I destroy the engine?

I took apart my craftsman lawn mower to do some major cleaning and maintenance on it... Well, I opened up the engine (Tecumesh) and now I regret doing so. Had to use a gear puller to get the case off. I couldn't get it to pull completely straight off, it was pulling at a slight angle. I think I may have bent one of the rods that the gear is on. Don't really know for sure, but nothing will turn anymore by hand. It's the gear on the right side. Did I destroy it?

I can take more pictures if needed.

Thanks!

Ouch! It sure looks bent, but is it? If it's bent, you'll need another. Pull it out and see.

Wondering if you had a previously bent crank and that is why you had a hard time getting it off in the 1st place. Had you ever hit something hard, bent a blade?

I don't think it was the result of hitting anything. I'm not sure how to remove it. Just pry it out? and where would I find a replacement?
