B&S 19.5 HP Intek wont stay running
Hopefully someone can help with this. The engine will start with the choke and sounds like its running normally for a second or two, then it cuts off like the key was turned off. Mower has been in storage for a year with stabil in the tank, carb bowl is completely clean and fuel is getting to carb. The battery was dead, so it was being jump started atthe time.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Fuel was drained and fresh fuel added. The engine starts and runs on its own for 1-2 seconds then shuts off, like the key was turned off, no spitting or sputtering. I'm not adding any additional fuel to make it run, everytime I turn the key it starts and then shuts down.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Apparently it was the battery, even though it was hooked up to the car and would start, and run for 1-2 seconds, I guess the battery was so discharged it would not stay running. Put a new battery in to continue trouble shooting, turned the key and it fired up and ran perfectly. Problem solved. Not sure why it wouldnt stay running while connected to the car battery, but its something to remember for the next time.
Thank you for your help.
