The DIY Experience

I've been using power lawnmowers for several decades, but never developed more than pretty ordinary repair/DIY skills.

On the other hand, I hated the nuisance involved in taking a mower in for repair.

Now I'm retired from my business as a furnace repairman, and am getting attracted to doing small engine repairs as an outlet for my drive to do mechanical stuff.

So I bought the Briggs and Stratton repair manual, have been viewing U-Tube videos that give ideas (not necessarily good ones) on how to do various repairs and such.

And I'm working on getting my various small engine equipment working and tuned up and such.

Ok, sounds great! Is there a question you wanted to ask?

BTW - check eBay for service manuals on CD I got a Tecumseh service manual for not much money. Other than Briggs, Tecumseh is the "other" common motor.

Seattle;
Before you buy a manual post yours needs here and maybe, sometimes, usually someone will have the manual or graphic you need. Have a good one. Geo

Thanks for the ideas.

I found the Briggs manual, new, for $5-6 at one place, a bargain!

I've been reading through it and coming up with lots of good ideas from it.

My stable of two ponies are both of the Briggs and Stratton breed, right now. But I've had Tecumsehs in the past, and no doubt will again.
