Angry Kohler fuel pump not working

I have a kohler 25 hp v twin. It only runs when fuel is sprayed in the carb. I have fuel up to the fuel pump but not past the pump. I took the upper hose off the pump and can feel the pulsating air from the engine when it is running. I replaced the fuel pump to no avail. Any ideas?

Kohlers are very sensitive to the feul filter. You need to use the correct one. They have 1 for gravity feed and 1 for pump feed. Using the wrong filter will cause big problems on Kohlers.
Don't go by looks. They both look the same. The difference is the filtering inside. Post the engine numbers and I will get you the proper filter number.

Kohler Part number for the gas filter is 24 050 013S. You are better off using the Kohler filter as opposed to an aftermarket filter.
