Troy bilt pressure waster - backfire

One more question about new 2700 psi pressure washer.

Is there any reason the machine makes a loud (backfire) sound when it is turned off?

What causes this noise?

1 way engines backfire when they are shut off is:
you're running at full speed, you shut off ignition, flywheel is still spinning after shutoff, fuel is still being drawn into cylinder, muffler is still hot,,,,,,BOOM

Always use these engines at full speed, but idle them down and let then idle for a minute before shutting them off. Burns of any excessive gas and will actually make them start easier.
