Peerless 718-0255A transaxle
I just purchased a Yard Man tractor with a peerless hydro model 718-0255A transaxle. The guy I got it from changed a tire and pulled the axle out of the case. He put it back in and it works but pops out from time to time. I believe a clip is missing. Can I replaece it without tearing the transaxle apart? If so how?
Thanks

Peerless Transaxle clip
I had a suggestion that I could pull the axle, put the clip on and put a wrap of electrical tape on it and push it in and when the clip hit the grove it would cut the tape and seat. Has anyone out there ever tried it? I don't want to tear this down if there is any other way
Thanks

You should maybe drain the oil before you split the case.
takes 81 ozs. 20W-50

Thanks Glen M. Special Thanks for the link to the PDF at least I know what I'm looking for now. I assume the 20W50 oil is just regular engine oil. Please let me know if I'm wrong.
Thanks again,
