Ryobi CS30 won't run

question. I have a ryobi cs30 that will only work with the choke on and as soon as I pull trigger it dies. I figured it must be carburetor so I purchased a carburetor from ereplacement site and it did not even start up. I put the original carburetor on and it worked fine. I figured it was a defective part so I RMA'd it and received a new one. Now the new one will not even work on the trimmer, but the old one still will start while the choke is on.

Any ideas?

While the old carb is on and the trimmer is running, spray/dribble some brake parts cleaner behind the carb and along the intake mating surfaces, if the engine tempo changes you have an air leak. Have a good one. Geo
