:madhell: I VE got a tecumseh 2 stroke 2 hp i dont have the model# off the motor (cant find one)it was made in the 1990's, i do have the part # (590690)rewind starter&housing assembly .i cant figure out how to put the new spring in the housing. i watched a you tube video on how to replace a briggs and that a very interesting and enlightening video dont help a lick. i got to put in a new pulley and rope,and spring, anybody got any ideas????/?Beer 4U2Beer 4U2

Hi all, a friend has asked me too look at his blower, the common 2 cycle engine with a walbro wt682a carb. sorry do not have the model number with me but could post later. anyhow this unit only wants to run at idle. When I try to open throttle it dies, kitted the carb, checked the manifold insert to the engine and sealed with rtv cause no gasket and the oring looked kinda old and it seemed it might have been leaking at the bottom. no luck same thing, made sure the cylinder was tight to the crankcase. The pulse port is open all the way. Also tried a carb off of a bolens trimmer with same carb but same result only idles which led me to believe it was not the carb but maybe the carb off of bolens was plugged??? anyhow I have run out of ideas. The engine seems to have plenty of compression and the muffler pours out exhaust well, I thought maybe it was plugged but have not removed it yet cause it seemed to be putting out plenty of exhaust. any ideas?? I thought for sure it was the main fuel passage but everything is clean. Have installed many kits in these type of carbs and am fairly certain it is not the carb now.
