not enough acceleration
Hi,
My spring unhooked from the idler pulley. When I rehooked it, the pulley is sloppy and I have little acceleration. It seems I've hooked it up wrong, but can't see what is right... Help! that is on a troy bilt 18 hp 42" cut, X609...

troy bilt 18hp accelerator
My spring came unhooked between the pulley and the gas pedal. After rehooking, i do not have acceleration speed as before. I think I hooked wrong, but don't see any other way... any ideas?

I don't know what spring you're talking about... I am going to guess you're referring to the secondary motion drive belt tensioner spring which is on the smallest of the two motion drive belts, the one going from the variator to the tranny. If so, it goes from the pulley bracket to the right of the frame on a bolt.
