When repalcing a 21 horsepower Briggs Engine, can I use a 26 horsepower in it's place. (Sears Lawn Tractor,; Hydrastatic Drive)

I removed this from the unrelated topic you posted it to and made it a thread of it's own.

It would help to know what you have. We can't tell you anything without info...there are a zillion different 21 and 26 hp engines. Usually most of them have the same crankshaft sizes and bolt pattern, but not all of them.
