Toro push mower NO START

Toro push mower NO START

I have a 2006 Toro Recycler 22" mower that out of the blue developed a no start condition. It has the tecumseh LV195EA engine. When attempting to start the engine, it makes a loud "clap" sound. It does it once every other rotation of the crankshaft, and is really close to where the flywheel triggers the coil. I believe it may have something to do with the decompression feature for easier starting. Do you guys think I'm on the right track? any suggestions?

Thinking a sheared flywheel key.

Tore it down and found a stuck intake valve and a busted camshaft. Catastrophic failure I'd say. Hardly worth repairing. That sucks had 4 seasons on it. I bought a Toro for it's quality, bummer.
