john deere 180 runs rough

my john deere 180 with kawasaki fc54ov with mikuni carb suddenly started running rough and dying under load. I replaced the fuel filter and took the carb off and cleaned it. It ran great for about 2 weeks (10 hours) then began the same thing. I cleaned the fuel filter and carb again. Now it starts and run runs full out in choke position but stalls out at normal mowing throttle. Help!

Running good in choke says not enough gas getting to the carb. Check for gas lines blocked or kinked. Also, try running the gas cap loose. Gas cap vent could be blocked. Also the main jet in the carb could be partially clogged.

I'd say the carb needs cleaning again. Remove the brass jet that screws in from the top of the carb and clean the tiny hole in the end of it.
