Walbro carburetor problem

The mower runs but pulsates. I think it has to do with the carburetor. It's a 1999 Scotts riding lawn mower w/B&S I/C Intek OHV engine w/a Walbro carb #5-4993. Can you take apart the brass bowl on the bottom of the carb?...If so would cleaning it correct the engine from pulsating?

Yes you can take off the brass bowl. And yes, it does sound like it needs a cleaning, but a more thoro cleaning than just taking off the float bowl.
