Tecumseh 8Hp engine

Hello,
Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between a Tecumseh HM80-155587S and a HM80-155587R? I have a Craftsman chipper that I loaned to a neighbor and he ran it out of oil, so I am looking for a replacement engine. It has the R engine and I found an S engine that "looks" identical and came off of a Craftsman chipper. The only thing I wonder about is the shaft being different. I also looked at the sticky and didn't see what I needed.

TIA
Dave

if you can locate the IPLs for both you might see the differences in part numbers.
