John Deere L130 Will not start
My JD L130 with a Kohler CV23 will not start. I am geting sparks from the spark plugs, and I am getting fuel. I have sprayed starting fluid in a brand new carb that I just replaaced. It just sits there and turns over. Absolutely no attempt to start (no fire). I have pulled the brand new plugs and tested them and they get fire. Any suggestions?

tekeandy,
What was the reason for replacing the carb ?
If you have spark and you get no pop/spit or sputter on starting fluid I would look for a mechanical issue like valves, Remove the valve covers and check the push rods. With the plugs removed spin the engine by hand and make sure all four valves are fully opening and closing.....

John Deere 160 mower has a similar problem - it won't start even though the starter works well, it just doesn't seem to be doing anything to turn the motor over. However, the problem arose after it was stalled running the blades into a mound of dirt. ???Any ideas for this?

I just don't follow how the starter works well ? but won't turn the engine over, Can you elaborate on this issue a little more ?
What's the starter doing ?
What's the starter not doing ?
