FL 20 weed eater

FL 20 weed eater

won't run continuously; when on full choke it will run / die; if I hold halfway between full and half it will run.....any suggestions?

You have a fuel restriction or air lead, with the trimmer running, using the straw, spray some carb/brake parts cleaner behind the carb and along all mating surfaces to see if the engine tempo changes, if it does you have a leak and can fix it. Check the fuel lines for leaks or crack. If none of this shows any problem you will probably need to remove and clean the carb. Have a good one. Geo

If you need to pull the carb to clean it,, I would recommend installing a overhaul kit.. If it's an older unit, the diaghragms get hard & won't flex as they should & cause all kinds of problems...Roger
