i have an older electric start snowblower 1st i am going to buy a new spark plug put new gas in starts and won't stay running what are my next options

We need to know what engine you have on the blower, probably has a dirty carb. Have a good one. Geo

Agreed that the carb has varnish inside it. Carb needs to be removed, taken apart, soaked in a carb cleaning solution overnight, rinsed with water, blow out ALL hole with compressed air and install a new carb kit. Spray carb cleaner will not remove dried varnish.
