Craftsman 6.0hp OVC, no spark

I have taken the magneto off and cleaned the contacts and made sure the flywheel is free of rust and debris. It was working fine 2 days ago,and now no spark!! This is a Craftsman power washer, by the way. I would give you sn, but craftsman doesn't ever make it easy. I have looked on the motor housing, but don't see one. Should I but a new magneto as I am unsure at this point.....thanks for everything!!!

Make sure the armature is on right-side-up, unplug the kill wire, use a good spark plug and make sure it is grounded when checking for spark, and make sure the air gap between the armature and flywheel is .010". If still no spark, replace the armature.

Craftsman LT2000 22/42" Bad cut

This mower has cut poorly since I bought it off the showroom floor. I assumed I just wasn't getting the adjustments right but I've done it too many times now. Also I've had it looked at by repair shops that just said they couldn't fix it either. Here's what I see. With the deck off and turned over. New blades istalled, and the blades rotated to meet in the middle the two blade heights are different. This corresponds to the line I see in the middle of the cut I make. The deck appears to be flat when laid on the garage floor. Can the spindles be adjusted using washers to get the blades closer to level? Thanks for any advise. Intermittent Electrical issue with Craftsman Lawn Tractor 18.5 HP B&S engine

Hi there. I have been having a battle with this tractor for some time. Model 917.273634. I looked through existing posts and did not find this same symptom. Anyone else have this? Sometimes it runs fine, other times, it starts, but if I either let the clutch out (when in neutral) OR start the PTO, the engine dies. First I thought it was a carb problem, so I rebuilt and cleaned that. Then I also tested the carb solenoid. Did a test on the spark plug and determined that the electrical shuts down when that happens. I can sometimes get it running again by disconnecting all the electrical connections and reconnecting them. With the help of Dad, we tested the ignition switch, the seat switch and the interlock switch. All tested ok. After re-assembly it ran fine - for about 20 minutes, then same thing. Turns on, but won't stay running. I tried reasoning my way through this thinking, what items are related, electrically to both the PTO and the Clutch. The only items I can think of are the interlock and the seat switch. Am I missing something? What should I replace? Those 2 switches? Anything else? Other tests? Thanks much!Read More
