poulan/craftsman chain saw starts and dies

last effort before buying new saw.

Hi guys, need help for my saw. neighbor mechanic has tried but is nearing end to figure this out. new fuel line, card rebuild kit, adjusted air/fuel and needles.

he doesn't believe its a fuel problem/pump. in fact fuel is dumping into carb.

he's now interested in the electrical side but needs to know proper "ohms readings" for stater and coil.

Any ideas and info regarding this is greatly appreciated. I really don't want to buy the new plastic stuff. My saw is 20 years old and works great when working, model 358.353670. 16 inch

thanks

Guy
